To precisely respond to this development need, on August 12, 2026, under the organization of the Wuzhou Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, Wuzhou Vocational College, Guangxi Modern Vocational College, Guangxi Nonferrous Metals Industry Association and Jinhai Stainless Steel Co., Ltd. jointly signed a cooperation framework agreement on high-skilled talent training in the recycling metal materials industry. This move marks the official implementation of the "government guidance, association support, school education, enterprise employment" closed-loop education model. Relying on the collaborative efforts of multiple resources, it lays a solid foundation for the high-quality development of Wuzhou's recycling metal industry. Before the signing, representatives from all parties conducted on-site investigations at Jinhai Stainless Steel's intelligent production workshop, accurately identifying the competency standards for positions such as intelligent smelting, hot rolling, acid washing, and cold rolling automation lines, laying a solid foundation for subsequent precise education and targeted talent cultivation.

Focusing on the pain points of enterprises, practical teaching has forged the "Jinhai Iron Army"

As an important outcome of the cooperation, Wuzhou Vocational College undertook the special training program for the improvement of intelligent manufacturing skills, extending the classroom to the production front line. The training content was set around 7 core modules such as continuous rolling, maintenance of intelligent production lines, equipment coordination control and process debugging, ARP and water treatment auxiliary system operation and maintenance, truly focusing on what the positions need.

A mentor team composed of senior technicians like Yang Hui from Wuzhou Vocational College broke down the complex intelligent manufacturing technology system into understandable knowledge points, implemented "teaching at the production line, explaining around the equipment" practical teaching, and transformed theoretical knowledge points into the practical operational capabilities of the trainees. The training fully considered the production schedule of enterprises and flexibly adjusted teaching periods to ensure that employees could participate in training and enterprises could continue production without any disruption. Since 2026, 6 training sessions have been held, covering 237 people, effectively alleviating the shortage of intelligent manufacturing practical talents in the enterprise's front line, and receiving full recognition from the enterprises, injecting vocational education momentum into forging a "Jinhai Iron Army" that can be retained, used and perform well.
