On January 6, 2026, the first training course for the intelligent manufacturing project of the recycled new materials industry in the entire region was officially launched in Wuzhou, marking a new step forward for our city in implementing the municipal committee's work deployment of "concentrating on AI empowerment and expanding the intelligent economy" and strengthening the cultivation of artificial intelligence skills talents.

In recent years, our city has fully implemented the deployment and requirements of the autonomous region's Party committee to promote the empowerment of artificial intelligence in various industries based on local conditions. In light of the actual development of our city's industries, we have formulated action plans for the "AI +" of characteristic industries such as stainless steel, artificial gemstones, Wuzhou Liubao tea, and architectural ceramics. The Jinhai Stainless Steel Hongyi New Materials Project, as a key project of the autonomous region and a crucial link in the strengthening and extension of the stainless steel industry chain in our city, aims directly at building a "high-end, intelligent and green" smart factory, and is committed to creating a "dark factory" with benchmark significance.

We have invested 1.8 billion yuan to build a "dark factory", but currently the qualification rate of employees' intelligent manufacturing skills is less than 65%, which directly restricts the effective improvement of production capacity. To help enterprises break through the "last mile" of intelligent transformation, the Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, in accordance with the requirements of the "Three-Year Action Plan for Implementing 'Skills Illuminate the Future' in Guangxi", has determined training programs based on the demands of enterprises, following the principle of "what enterprises use, industrial workers learn", and for the first time, enterprises have put forward their demands to formulate teaching materials. The training content closely focuses on the skills that enterprises urgently need and are in short supply, such as industrial robot operation and maintenance, PLC programming, and MES system application. It effectively Bridges the gap between "advanced equipment" and "suitable skills" for enterprises, providing solid talent support for the application and implementation of "artificial intelligence + manufacturing" scenarios, and also paving a smooth path for workers to "achieve success and increase income through skills". It is estimated that through this training, the utilization rate of enterprise equipment is expected to increase by 30%, and losses can be reduced by more than 5 million yuan annually.

The holding of this training course is not only a beneficial attempt by the government, schools and enterprises to jointly solve the problem of "disconnection between advanced equipment and suitable skills", but also a vivid practice of the municipal human resources and social security department in promoting the implementation of the major decisions and plans of the central government, the autonomous region and the municipal committee and government on developing artificial intelligence and promoting high-quality economic development.

Next, the municipal human resources and social security department will invest 15 million yuan in subsidies around the city's "2+4" key industries such as recycled new materials and advanced steel materials. It is planned to file no less than 20 project-based training programs throughout the year, covering more than 2,000 technical workers in these enterprises.
