There, silver-white steel coils were slowly moving forward on the conveyor belt, and the sounds of the rolling mills rose and fell in succession. Outside the workshop, a row of brand-new new energy heavy-duty trucks are all set to go, transporting freshly rolled stainless steel coils to all parts of the country.

This batch of new energy heavy-duty trucks not only replaced the diesel engines but also abandoned the old production and operation model of high energy consumption and high emissions of the enterprise in the past, becoming a microcosm of Jinhai Stainless Steel's green transformation. The Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China pointed out that "We should accelerate the comprehensive green transformation of economic and social development and build a beautiful China." We must firmly establish and practice the concept that green mountains and clear waters are as valuable as mountains of gold and silver. We should take carbon peaking and carbon neutrality as the driving force, and promote carbon reduction, pollution reduction, green expansion and growth in a coordinated manner. We should build a solid ecological security barrier and enhance the momentum of green development.

The commissioning of these nineteen new energy heavy-duty trucks is a concrete action taken by us to implement the proposal of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China to accelerate the comprehensive green transformation of economic and social development. The general manager of the company gently stroked the "EV" logo on the car door and introduced that every transformation and upgrade of the company now is towards green development, and green transportation is just one of the directions.

To achieve the goal of green transformation for the enterprise, Jinhai Stainless Steel has recently invested 150 million yuan to fully launch the ultra-low emission renovation project, building an integrated system of "source control - process governance - intelligent supervision", covering more than 20 renovation contents such as closed material yards, dust removal systems, waste heat power generation, waste acid regeneration, and energy-saving lighting.

Entering the 50,000-square-meter enclosed cargo yard, the reporter saw that the vehicle washing device was operating in a cycle with water spraying, and the dust was completely intercepted. In the steel rolling workshop, the waste heat recovery system enables thermal energy to be put back into use, saving nearly one million kilowatt-hours of electricity annually. The details of the green transformation are quietly unfolding in every corner of the factory area. It is reported that during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, the enterprise invested 1 billion yuan to build the Jinhai 1.2 million tons stainless steel solution and products green production line project. The two solution pickling production lines have achieved L2-level automatic control, and the waste acid regeneration system has made the acid liquid recycling rate exceed 95%.

The green transformation of Cheung Chau District is not limited to just one factory or one enterprise. In the Wuzhou Changzhou Stainless Steel Products Industrial Park, enterprises such as Yongda Steel and Xinfeng Special Steel are also simultaneously promoting ultra-low emission renovations. Nowadays, the "green territory" of this park is constantly expanding. Up to now, Changzhou Stainless Steel Products Industrial Park has 4 green factories in Guangxi and 1 national-level green factory, and has been recognized as a national-level green industrial park.

In the process of promoting high-quality development, Changzhou District has always adhered to ecological priority and placed the construction of environmental protection facilities at the forefront of industrial development. The person in charge of the Changzhou Ecological Environment Bureau stated that in recent years, they have provided full-process guidance for enterprises' energy conservation and emission reduction renovations through a "point-to-point" service mechanism, making green a competitive edge. From comprehensive utilization of solid waste, energy recycling to new energy transportation, Changzhou District is not only promoting enterprises to "reduce emissions", but also cultivating a high-quality development path that moves towards "green" and innovation.
