Li Yuanli, the manager of the IT information department of the company, is closely watching the real-time scrolling production data on the screen. The bright red steel billets on the screen reflect the focused face of this "digital pioneer".

In response to the strategic call of our city to "recreate an Industrial Wuzhou", since 2021, Jinhai Stainless Steel has invested over 2 billion yuan in intelligent transformation, striving to build a "hundred-billion-yuan smart factory" that features digital factories, intelligent equipment, flexible production, and smart decision-making. During this process, Li Yuanli, who was in charge of the company's information management, took on the heavy responsibility and led the team to overcome difficulties, becoming a key figure in promoting the digital transformation of the enterprise.

In 2022, Jinhai Stainless Steel launched a digital production management system project, building the "industrial brain" for the entire enterprise. It was precisely in this year that Li Yuanli officially joined the company. For more than three years, Li Yuanli has faced numerous challenges in the digital transformation of the enterprise without the slightest retreat, leading his team to meticulously operate and maintain the company's systems.

Entering the computer room of Jinhai Stainless Steel, one can see rows of server cabinets neatly arranged, with indicator lights flashing constantly. The servers are efficiently processing various types of data of the enterprise. "Through remote control, let the data 'run the errands', which is much more efficient and convenient than our employees." Li Yuanli said that, for instance, in traditional production processes, due to the lack of effective monitoring and feedback mechanisms, quality issues are often discovered only in subsequent stages, which increases the risk of rework and defective products for enterprises and raises their production costs.

Thanks to the joint efforts of employees like Li Yuanli, in 2023, Jinhai Stainless Steel, which has entered the digital and intelligent era, saw a significant improvement in the efficiency of its core business of production, supply and sales. In 2024, Jinhai Stainless Steel was awarded the Three-star digital transformation certification by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and became another enterprise in our city with an annual output value of over 10 billion yuan.

Only a continuous stream of innovative impetus can keep an enterprise constantly "renewing and upgrading" and transforming itself. Since 2024, Jinhai Stainless Steel has proactively embraced the era of artificial intelligence and successively initiated the local deployment and integration of domestic open-source models such as Qianwen QwQ and DeepSeek. For this reason, Li Yuanli devoted a great deal of time and energy, leading the team to actively promote the local deployment and testing of the series of models.

Based on the achievements of automation and digitalization construction of various production lines in recent years, the enterprise has retained a vast amount of data, which has laid a solid foundation for us to smoothly promote the local deployment of AI large models. Li Yuanli said. This also means that he and his team members need to collect and clean the datasets related to the task, and repeatedly check and screen a large amount of data. Throughout the entire deployment process, Li Yuanli often delved into various production links of the company, understood the business needs and difficulties of different departments, and made timely adjustments, effectively ensuring the smooth progress of the local deployment of AI large models.
