On December 25, jointly organized by the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and the People's Government of Wuzhou City, the 2022 Investment Promotion Forum for stainless steel products in Wuzhou City of Guangxi was successfully concluded. It was organized by the Task Force of Guangxi Industrial Revitalization Commissioners in Wuzhou City and Wuzhou Industry and Information Technology Bureau. Nearly 100 people, including metallurgical Industry Planning and Research Institute, Department of Industry and Information Technology of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, relevant functional departments of Wuzhou City, Wuzhou Jinhai Stainless Steel Co., LTD., Wuzhou Yongda Steel Group, Wuzhou Xinfeng Special Steel Co., LTD., and representatives of more than 40 enterprises from Guangdong, participated in the forum.

Prior to the meeting, the participants visited Jinhai Stainless Steel Company's 1050mm green medium wide plate hot rolling line and 1.2 million tons of stainless steel solution and green production line at Wuzhou Stainless Steel Industrial Park. After the tour, the meeting began.

The participants of this forum generally believe that Wuzhou has superior geographical advantages and advantages of upstream slab raw materials, and leading enterprises have formed strong market competitiveness by competing and differentiated development. It is hoped that the government can actively promote the development of existing stainless steel products from middle and low-end to high-end processing, and expand and cultivate the downstream deep processing industry through top-level planning, policy design and supporting elements.
The persons in charge of several enterprises who intend to settle down in Wuzhou put forward their individual needs respectively in terms of industry threshold, factor guarantee and financing support. The persons in charge of relevant departments in Wuzhou immediately conducted "one-to-one" docking service. After in-depth communication between the two sides, the preliminary intention to attract investment was reached on site.

It is reported that since the work team of Guangxi Industrial Revitalization Special Commissioner in Wuzhou City was stationed in 2021, it has made full efforts to promote the smooth operation of Jinhai four-machine four-flow casting billet technical upgrading project, 240,000 tons cold rolling project, green hot rolling technical upgrading project, 1050mm green medium wide plate hot rolling production line, 1.2 million tons stainless steel solution and green production line. After a number of stainless steel projects under construction are put into production, the agglomeration effect of stainless steel industry chain in Wuzhou will be further strengthened. It is estimated that the new industrial output value is about 40 billion yuan, and the industrial output value of stainless steel industry in Wuzhou will reach 70 billion yuan.
