Carrying out the dismantling inspection of scrap raw materials, optimizing the guarantee of raw materials, and ensuring that the quality of raw materials is controllable is an extremely important beginning of the entire production process. The generation of waste gas ensures the final product quality.

The pickling sludge produced by the company's pickling process and the dust removal ash produced in the steelmaking process belong to the original "National Hazardous Waste List" (2016 edition) metal surface treatment hazardous waste (HW17 category 336-064-17), electric furnace steelmaking respectively. During the process, the dust collected by the dust removal device (HW31 class 312-001-31), in order to promote the green and high-quality development of the enterprise and protect the ecological environment, the technical team of Wuzhou Jinhai Company has continuously carried out technological innovation. After in-depth research and pilot testing , the test found that the use of pickling sludge, dust removal ash supplemented by blast furnace plaster, yellow mud, rice bran to make ceramsite products can effectively solidify heavy metals in hazardous wastes, and realize the harmless and large-scale production of pickling sludge and dust removal ash. For this reason, Wuzhou Jinhai Company established the Environmental Protection Division in 2020 to prepare for the construction of new environmentally friendly building materials projects and to be the "starter" of the new track.

On September 3, 2020, Wuzhou Jinhai Company's solid waste resource utilization and preparation of new environmental protection building materials project ignition oven. The total investment of the project is about 40 million yuan, of which environmental protection investment is 10 million yuan, accounting for 25% of the total project construction investment. Resource utilization of solid waste to produce light aggregate ceramsite production line, the comprehensive utilization of industrial solid waste is 60,000 tons/year, and the production of light aggregate ceramsite is 200,000 cubic meters/year. In this project, through a series of physical and chemical reactions produced by high temperature roasting, the heavy metals in the raw materials are transformed and solidified to a large extent in the ceramsite. The products of this project are safe to use, have low environmental risks, and have good environmental and economic benefits. At present, the light aggregate ceramsite products produced by the company are sold to the construction and refractory markets in Guangdong, Fujian, Jiangsu and other places after passing the test.
